Knit Cap Co. is a brand of Battle Born Clothing, a decorating shop at 3 Pebble Beach Dr in Yerington, Nevada. We make custom beanies: we embroider your logo on the cuff of a knit cap, or we laser-engrave it into a leather patch and attach the patch to the cuff with our own heat process on a two-platen hat press (sewn on if you prefer). We have made leather patches since 2020 on an OMTech 80-watt CO2 laser, we run two commercial embroidery heads, and we are an authorized decorator for Carhartt, Nike and OGIO. We redo our own errors free, and standard turnaround is 28 days from proof approval. This site is for buyers who already know they want beanies. A Sportsman cuffed beanie with your embroidered logo is twelve sixty each at twenty-four and ten sixty at one hundred forty-four, plus a one-time digitizing fee of eighteen ninety-nine. No minimum. Most of our beanie orders are 48 to 300 pieces for one organization: winter crew gear, resort staff and retail, holiday gifts for employees and clients, brewery merch. At those quantities a Sportsman SP12 with an embroidered cuff logo runs $12.10 each at 48 and $10.60 each at 144, all-in. A laser-engraved leather patch on the same beanie is $12.60 at 48 and $10.60 at 144.
Company and corporate orders
Send a vector logo (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) and we size it for the cuff. A cuff gives you roughly 3.5 inches wide by 1.75 inches tall, which fits most wordmarks and icon-plus-name logos. One logo, one style, mixed colors are fine. Digitizing is $18.99 once per design and is not charged on reorders.
Holiday and year-end gifts
Beanies are the most-ordered December gift we make. A 96-piece run of leather patch beanies for staff and clients is $11.60 each all-in with no setup fee. Order by late October to land before the holidays at standard turnaround; see the holiday timeline guide.
Reorders
Your digitized file stays on our machines and your engraving file stays on our laser. A reorder of the same logo on the same beanie is priced at the quantity you reorder, with no new setup.
Embroidered beanies or leather patch beanies?
Both are done in-house at Battle Born Clothing and both cost about the same per piece. The choice is mostly about the look and the artwork.
Cuff embroidery
Thread on the cuff is the classic beanie look. It handles bold logos and text well, and it is the only option if you want the logo in several thread colors. Fine lines under about 1 mm and tiny text do not stitch well on knit, so some logos get simplified. $5.00 to $8.00 per beanie depending on quantity, plus $18.99 digitizing once.
Laser-engraved leather patch
A leather patch on the cuff is the current look for breweries, outfitters and resort retail. Engraving holds fine detail and small text that embroidery cannot, and there is no digitizing fee. Patches are glued with our heat process, or sewn on for $1 more per beanie. $5.00 to $8.00 per beanie depending on quantity. Read leather patch vs embroidery on beanies.
Patch plus embroidery
A patch on the front of the cuff and a small embroidered mark on the back is one job in our shop, not two vendors. Priced as the patch plus a second embroidery design; ask for it on the quote form.
Small runs and customer-supplied beanies
12 to 47 pieces
We have no minimum. A dozen SP12 beanies with an embroidered cuff is $13.60 each; at 24 it drops to $12.60. Small runs get the same proof and the same turnaround as big ones.
Beanies you already own
Bring your own beanies and we decorate them for the decoration price plus $2 per item handling. Industry-standard spoilage allowance is about 4 percent; we aim for zero and we have never needed the full allowance on a beanie run. Carhartt, Nike and Melin beanies are welcome.

How much do custom beanies cost?
All-in means blank plus decoration, per beanie. The table is for the Sportsman SP12 12-inch cuffed beanie (blank $5.60) with a cuff logo under 6,000 stitches or a laser-engraved leather patch. How long does a custom beanie order take?
Standard turnaround is 28 days from the day you approve the digital proof. Quotes usually go out the same business day; proofs follow once we have your artwork and style choice. Beanies are a winter product, so November and December fill up. If you need hats for a holiday party, a ski season opening or a year-end gift, put the date on the quote form and we will tell you whether standard turnaround makes it or price a rush for your job.
