Who we are
Battle Born Clothing is a custom apparel decorator in Yerington, Nevada. We run embroidery, laser-engraved leather patches and screen printing in-house, and we press outsourced DTF transfers. Knit Cap Co. is the part of the shop that handles beanies: cuff embroidery and leather patches on knit caps for companies, resorts, crews, breweries, schools and gift buyers across the US.
The shop
- Two commercial single-head embroidery machines: a Happy HCD2-1501 and a YunFu 15-needle, with Rapos thread and Maggie magnetic frames.
- An OMTech 80-watt CO2 laser for leather patches, which we have made since 2020. We aim to be the top leather patch hat maker in the USA.
- A two-platen VEVOR hat press for our heat-applied patch process.
- Screen printing (plastisol, water-based, discharge) with a conveyor dryer, for the shirts that often go with a beanie order.
Brands and blanks
We are an authorized decorator for Carhartt, Nike and OGIO. Beanie blanks come from SanMar (Reno warehouse first, then the next closest) and S&S Activewear: Sportsman, YP Classics, Richardson, Port & Company, Carhartt, Nike. We are also a Zapped Headwear dealer and buy Decky direct. We decorate customer-supplied Melin beanies but do not sell Melin blanks.
